and the whole lot of us have decided to partake in the 10,000 swing challenge...
Yup,i said 10,000.. I know, you are thinking "dang, that's a lot of swings..."
But as my friend is so fond of saying, "if its worth doing, do it every day" - and so I shall in order to accomplish this feat.

lazy Sunday afternoon
Slept in this morning, needed the rest. Last evenings acculmulator kettlebell workout was BRUTAL!
And I must admit, its not easy balancing all 3 jobs.
Have thus far spent a lazy Sunday, drinking coffee and relaxing.
Took a stroll along the boardwalk, very nice. The sunshine felt good on my body.
Heading off to Beths now.. time for another workout!
Bring on the training ropes!!

8am on the Beach
in the sunshine with good friends and Kettlebells....
an early start to the day, before the overwhelming heat of the day..
nothing crazy... just some basics....
Double Clean&Press w/ 12kg 5 L/R
Renegade Rows w/ 16kg 5 L/R
Snatches w/ 12kg 5 L/R
for 30 minutes...
I managed 6 rounds...
finished the C&Ps and was headed toward renegade rows when timer went off...
Next time!!

Todays workout
okay...so i couldnt resist the darned kettlebells
started the workout with a nice warmup- did some foam rolling... some stretching..
then I did some farmers holds using the two20lbs kbs
Ifollowed that with turkish getups (TGUs) alt sides 3/3 w/ 12kg kb.
Followed those with a (this all flows no putting the bell down) bottoms up clean & press into a windmill into an oh squat into a rack squat into a long push press using the reloadable diva kb (filled to 13 lbs) alt sides 2 R/L.
Then I slapped a kb buddy onto the 12kg & did some alt cleans & presses 5R/L and then 2 snatches alt R/L.. then some 1h swings 10L/R.. followed by 2 more alt TGUs using the 12kg w/ buddy on it.
The kb buddy doesnt change much of the feel of the bell, comfortable when in the rack position.
I am anticipating that it will be helpful in my quest to progress to my goal of working with the 16kg.
You know, I just finished the Enter the Kettlebell program.. I looked forward to finishing the ETK program... I did lots of swings and snatches and cleans and presses...
But this morning, as I was using the 12kg w/ the buddy now on it, I thought that going back to the ETK program would be an awesome way to progess with this weight. Go figure!!

Wanted to share this... from John Du Cane/Dragondoor newsletter
For anyone hesitant about picking up the kettlebell, wondering how it might get them into shape..
or who still believes that they need to hop on the "cardio machines" at the gym to get those calories burned......
